The Walrus Oyster & Ale House

J C Porter has completed build outs for the Walrus in both National Harbor and Columbia. The design provides an industrial homage to the Chesapeake Bay oyster industry of the late 1800’s. The restaurants are bright and airy with high ceilings, open floor plan, hand crafted herringbone wood, custom metal work, zinc shucking bar and garage doors which spill out on to a spacious patio. New MEPs, kitchen equipment, custom mill work, metal and artwork from local artisans were key components in both projects.
